Commercial Pilot Licence
Become a Commercial Pilot at Townsville Helicopters and gain the benefits of living and learning in North QLD. A commercial licence (CPL-H) allows you to fly a helicopter for financial reward (i.e. to work as a helicopter pilot). A minimum of 105 hours flight training is required before you take a flight test, as well as passes in the 7 CPL theory exams.

Professional Helicopter Services: Line Pilot
"I have always been obsessed with helicopters and aircraft in general however, never thought it would be possible to fly one myself. I chose Townsville Helicopters due to the theory classes offered, the numerous types of helicopters available to fly, aka AS350 squirrel and the location (military airspace and north Qld coast). Townsville helicopters was amazing, with the family vibe from everyone there to the location and access to an amazing training ground so close I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a student. I graduated in 2020 and am I have started a new job as a line pilot with Professional Helicopter services (PHS). I am living and working out of Yulara, flying scenic tours around Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Lake Amadeus, Mt Conner and Kings Canyon. I have stepped up now with PHS into Turbines (finally using my GTE that I got in Townsville), flying a Bell 206 jet ranger at present and the long ranger in the near future with the AS350 squirrel and EC130 hopefully not too far down the track."
