Owner/Director - Dick Arnold
Dick is owner, Director and Chief Pilot of Townsville Helicopters. With 38 years of practical experience in the helicopter industry and over 19,500 hours of helicopter flight time, he is well qualified to provide the expertise to a large variety of helicopter operations. He is endorsed to fly over 10 different helicopters, and is the CEO and Flight Examiner (PPL, CPL, Low Level, Sling and Mustering (Australia wide).
Dick's operational experience offers expertise in film and photography, news gathering, all aspects of mining sector support including precision drill moves, aerial fire fighting, as well as having several thousand hours mustering and feral animal destruction and capture, including aerial tranquilizing of Grizzly Bear in Canada. He has previously been involved in instructing at several "helicopter/ firearms courses". His considerable experience in Australian conditions is enhanced by 6 years flying in the harsh conditions of remote Northern Canada.
North Queensland and Townsville have been home to Dick and his family for almost 30 years.
