Townsville Helicopters offers Trial Introductory Flights (TIF's) to the general public. The program consists of a classroom tutorial on the effects of controls of a helicopter, followed by a flight in a helicopter where you actually fly. The helicopter is fitted with dual controls and a qualified instructor will be there to guide you through the lesson. You will experience hovering, controlled forward flight and many other manoeuvers the helicopter is capable of, whilst enjoyng the vews of Townsville

PACKAGES R22 Trial Introductory Flight
A classroom tutorial and a 30 minute flight lesson in a 2 seat helicopter, called an R22. The R22 is the most common training helicopter in Australia ( Maximum student weight 109 kg)

A classroom tutorial and a 30 minute flight lesson in a 4 seat helicopter, called an R44. The R44 is a very popular piston-engined helicopter and is also used for training in Australia ( Maximum student weight 136kg)

Bell 206 (Jetranger) Trial Introductory Flight
A classroom tutorial and a 30 minute flight lesson in a 5 seat helicopter, commonly called a Bell Jetranger. The Jetranger is one of the safest and best selling helicopters world-wide and is powered by a turbine engine.
